茅葺屋根の築200年の古民家の改修。
手刻みを得意とする大工さんの自邸の改修。
天井高さの高い屋根形状を活かして、元々平屋の
建物をロフトを含めて3階建に改修して最上階に
新たに子供部屋を計画した。
1階は空間の大らかさに合わせて幅3mの大きな
キッチンを据えて大胆かつ迫力のある空間を計画した。
既存の梁・柱材の古さと対照的に
家具・照明は丸みを持たせたり、
一部金属を用いることで現代的な空間へ仕上げている。

Renovation of a 200 year-old folk house with a thatched roof.
And renovation of the carpenter’s own house, which specializes in hand-carving. Originally a one-story building,taking advantage of the roof shape with a high ceiling height the building will be renovated to 3 stories including the loft . The first floor is a large 3m wide set up a kitchen to create a powerful space. In contrast to the age of existing beams and columns furniture and lighting should be rounded, or some metal should be used.
By using it, it is finished in a modern space.
